What is “That Seams Fun?”

Why did I start “That Seams Fun?”
Because in my mind I’m an intermediate, contemporary quilter… But my fingers say that I’m really an advanced beginner.

- I’m not a great sewer but enjoy sewing and quilting immensely
- I don’t consider myself “crafty” but find that I do alot of crafty things
- I can’t even draw a stick figure but find myself looking for art everywhere

I am obsessed passionate about reading blogs, books and magazines to find unique tips, tricks and techniques for modern quilters, sewing enthusiasts and advanced beginners like myself.

Instead of creating a blog to show off my limited quilting ability, and half-done funky projects, I created this blog as more of a resource for and  quilting tips, projects, patterns, and the latest fabrics that I’m eyeballing.

[I will show off  what I'm working on in limited form and share what patterns I'm working from.]

If you get nothing from this blog except some great links to follow from my Favorite Blogs list, then I’ll feel That Seams Fun is a success! And as you follow the links, please check out the blogroll on other sites. Its really the best way to find new blogs to follow.

I hope this blog comes in handy as it grows – feel free to send me comments and blogs you think I should check out.

Sew on!

Hi Wendy, I am too a beginner sewer even though I’ve been sewing for about 3 years now. I self taught myself and still look for new techniques that I can use. I think that your blog is great! I look forward to following all your blogs from here on out.

    Kara
